After my last blog about measuring your perfect bra size, I saw an article which stated that the HNS should provide special staff to help women fitting bras thus reducing the need for corrective surgery.
This is as a result of many women wearing bras that are too small and then requiring reduction surgery. Many consultants see women who have ill fitting bras that cut into their skin and cause discomfort and can cause permanant damage.
While this is all fine and dandy, why are doctors and consultants allowing women to get plastic surgery when they could simply get better fitting bras? Who is making money out of this? Women and the tax payer are losing out surely as breast reduction surgery costs around £4,500 a time and 10,000s are performed around the country each year.

Save yourself a trip to the doctor and read my last article on getting a great fit for your bra!!! There are only 3 simple steps to having your ideal bra size so what are you waiting for!!!

In a less than subtle publicity stunt TV pair Trinny and Susannah persuaded 900 ladies from Rothwell in Northants to remove their poorly fitting bras and throw them up in the air.
The new programme, Trinny and Susannah: Undress The Nation, will encourage women to get bras properly fitted which look and feel better as a result. Great, but fortunately you dont need to watch any TV to know how to get your ideal bra measured…we have all the details here!
Getting an accurate bra size is simple. Take the measurement directly under your breasts (Bra Size), and add 5 and round up to the nearest even number. Next take the measurement around the widest part of your breasts (Breast Size)
Subtract your Breast Size from your Bra Size to get your Cup Size. If the difference is 1 then you are an A, 2 a B and 3 a C and so on.
When measuring wear a soft and unpadded bra that does not change the shape of your bust significantly.
It is recommend that this process is repeated once a year to ensure a proper fit.
The new Trinny and Susannah show will air later this year.

Ann Summers have been in trouble this week for their new adult toy line called iGasm, this little beauty attaches to your iPod and vibrates away to your choice of music. Obviously Ann Summers vs Apple Corporateion would be no contest, but are they justified?
There are loads of iPod add ons available from voice activation to speaker systems so why are Apple getting so steamed up about this one? Obviously Apple may not want to be associated with a sex toy but Have Apple now Trade Marked the letter “i” now?
The iGasm has two small ticklers wihich respond to the music playing and plugs into the headphone socket. This little item will cost around £40.
Ann Summers vs Apple is set to run and run, we will keep you posted on the outcome of this interesting case.
What appears to have brought the Ann Summers vs Apple argument to a head is the advert for iGasm which it is claimed borrows from the iPod silhouette ad. Both feature a silhouetted dancing girl listening to her MP3 player.
Ann Summers also sell lingerie amongst other things. To visit Ann Summers at UK Lingerie Shops click here

I saw an relevant article about a new range of boob-job bras called Le Mystere’s No.9 which are specially designed for ladies that have been enhanced. Women who have gone under the knife complain of regular bras being too low and not coping with their curves leaving them feeling uncomfortable and unsupported. Now they can accommodate their charms in style with bras that have been designed with them in mind.
Boob-Job Bras will be in stores from Monday and will retail for £60, they will be available in all sizes from 32C to 36E.
The inspiration behind Boob-Job Bras was feedback received by plastic surgeons in the US about standard bras from women who had augmentation and could not find a bra that was suited to their new shape.

Paris Hilton, released this morning after 3 days of her 45 day sentence for parole violation, is causing more controversy across the world. Her original sentence was reduced to 23 days and not has been comuted to being tagged electronically.
Paris Hilton released her own range of lingerie, perfume and gifts line during 2004 which have failed to make much of an impact on consumers. Busy Paris also owns a chain of night clubs throughout the USA.
Poor Paris has now been put on an Identity Bracelet scheme for the remainder of her 42 days. UK Lingerie Shops wants to know if her bracelet is customised and encrusted with diamonds. Will Paris be the first to have a made to measure couture radio ASBO bracelet and will her next venture be a line of clothing featuring stripes…
Reports are unsubstantiated that Paris took ill while watching The Shawshank Redemption…. Paris Hilton was released today under terms of her ASBO type order and has already been out and about driving her luxury car.

Just found a couple of things I thought people might want to know about…two bizarre and slightly questionable products which fall under the banner of bizarre lingerie.
Caffeine Tights - Slimfit by Palmers - these work by body heat triggering small dose of caffeine into the blood stream around the thighs causing a raise in metabolic rate which in turn causes the body to burn energy faster. The release of caffeine is so small that users are in no danger of raised heart rate. Are there women walking around with these on, do they also have nicotine patches all over their arms?
Heated Bras - Truimph (Japan) - Japans energy efficiency gurus decided to combat global warming with gel pads which are heated in a microwave and placed into the furry bra to heat the body. How ridiculous! You are never going to save the planet by heating something in the microwave and heating one part of the body for a short period of time. The point of a hot water bottle was that it heated you and then you heated the bed, not having to pop into the kitchen to pop your bra cups in for 30 seconds! This is truly useless and bizarre lingerie!
There must be plenty more attention seeking wacky ideas…of bizarre lingerie inventions.

To keep you updated on what we are doing with the site, we are regularly updating and adding shops to the main site. (There are now over 50!!!) The latest addition is Less Bounce!!!
Less Bounce specialise in sports bras and also stock a huge range of sports clothing for serious sporting enthusiasts (male or female).
See what UK Lingerie Shops are saying about their new featured shop Less Bounce.
Less Bounce are different to many of the other sites featured but I thought it would compliment the others nicely due to the sporty theme not covered by fashion/lingerie type shops. I will be adding quality stores as I find them so I will keep you posted…
